Oh, hello wedding dreamers. Selena here with a new spring in my step as I revel over C & J's jaw dropping late (late) May wedding at Wedgewood Boulder Creek. Have you been to this venue, or are you considering it for your wedding? Curious how springtime looks at Boulder Creek? Look no further, I've got you covered.
These are by far some of my favorite spots at Wedgewood for Bride/Groom portraits. The perfect hues of the spring greenery playing off the water make my eyes sing. I love how the lower level by the creek is a private space for you to take photos together while cocktail hour ensues above. Something I cannot stress enough for your wedding day is to find space & time to have quiet moments together. The grounds of Wedgewood definitely provide ample opportunity for that. And who doesn't feel revived when getting some quality creek time? I totally do!
Let's chat nature. It's a staple backdrop for our couples photos, but if I have the chance, I love to get some closeups of the season of your wedding day. And the blooms of spring at Boulder Creek were too stunning to pass up. Scroll for some spring wonder in the full beams of daylight.
What else? I want to share so much from this wedding! Let's switch gears just a bit & explore some indoor spaces at Wedgewood. I really adore their getting ready spaces & the ample natural light they offer. There's something about spring light that even through a window feels fresh & alive. Here are some of my faves.
C & J got married on the larger outdoor ceremony space above the creek. We even got some sun showers during their ceremony which made for the dreamiest of images. I get a slight rush from the unpredictable nature of spring. How every moment is its own pocket of weather. Rainy weddings are just as beautiful as sunny ones to me, and I love a diverse day that has a little to offer of all of it. I know rain is such a worry for most couples, but I can't stress enough how well C & J made the most of it, laughing through the ceremony & never letting it phase them.
Reception took place in the outdoor tent at Wedgewood & I was so obsessed with the warm hues of chandelier light mingling with the blues of dusk as it rolled in. I adore a luxury tent experience because it's the perfect blend of indoor & outdoor worlds colliding. And if you know anything about me, you know my heart lies in photographing outdoor spaces, so any chance I get to have some fresh air in a reception, I'm the happiest of wedding photographers. Scroll for some reception love.
So, yeah, it's pretty safe to say I'm over the moon about this spring wedding at Boulder Creek. My deepest thanks to everyone who made it possible & perfect. But, of course, that's not all! You know we had to do some videography of this wedding! Check out their trailer below! (Playback settings in 1080p, not Auto, lovelies!!)
